It sprung from just nothing
While l looked, and you danced
It floods my veins with you
And fuels my very heart.
It’s grown in the silence
When we don’t talk
It got bigger and fiercer
In the hours I missed you.
It spread its grip in absence
When you were never here
It wound its fingers tightly
Held on to the ghost you always were.
It blooms in the darkness
Where no sunlight glows
It spread its tangled roots
In the ground you never walked.
And never will.
