I was stupid

I was carried away

I forgot to not say

The things they don’t like us saying.

I was sorry

That l hurt you this way

I just want to replay

The offending words l forgot I was saying.

But you forgave

You had a life to save

I promise to behave

And think before thinking, stupidity delaying.

I almost lost you tonight.

Never again.
