On Choking Bay With Bodies

On Choking Bay With Bodies
A flashing, scarlet throat.
This earless desert
With dizzy, blonde sand,
Shimmering, shimmering.

On Choking Bay With Bodies
A glinting, crimson coat.
This eyeless desert
With fist disguised as hand,
Glimmering, glimmering.

On Choking Bay With Bodies
A secret, thoughtless boat.
This voiceless desert
With fire in place of land,
Simmering, simmering

On Choking Bay With Bodies
Lifeless husks, still afloat.
This loveless desert
Enclosed in thin, red band,
Shimmering, glimmering.

On Choking Bay With Bodies
A crumpled, bloodstained note:
“This Godless desert
Where the fires of hell are fanned,
Is winning, is winning.”
